Today, July 20, 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NEET UG 2024 results on its official website. Candidates who took the NEET UG 2024 exam can view their results on the NTA NEET official website at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ or neet.ntaonline.in.
On July 18, the Supreme Court directed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to release the NEET UG results by July 20 at 12 noon. The court ordered that the NTA should publish the students’ scores on its website while keeping their identities confidential.
Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, along with Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, instructed that the NEET UG results should be disclosed separately based on city and examination center by the specified time today.
Following the CBI’s arrest of four medical students from AIIMS Patna on Thursday in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case, Dr. Gopal Krushna Pal, Director of AIIMS Patna, stated that the institute would take appropriate action if the students are found guilty, as per PTI reports.
This year, the NTA conducted the NEET UG examination on May 5 across 4,750 centers. Initially, the results were declared on June 4, 2024. A re-examination was conducted on June 23 for affected candidates, with the results announced on June 30, 2024. Approximately 24 lakh candidates appeared for the main examination, and 1,563 candidates participated in the re-examination.

“The petitioners have suggested that it would be suitable if the outcomes of the NEET-UG 24 examination are disclosed on the website to enhance transparency regarding the marks obtained by candidates based on examination centers. We instruct the NTA to release the scores attained by students in the NEET-UG 2024 test while ensuring the students’ identities remain anonymous. The results should be announced separately for each center and city,” stated the Supreme Court order.

In a recent court filing, the Central government stated that there is no evidence of widespread cheating or localized groups unfairly benefitting from it in NEET-UG 2024. Consequently, they oppose a retest. The affidavit also outlined plans for the 2024-25 academic year, including conducting four rounds of undergraduate seat counseling starting in mid-July.
The NTA echoed similar sentiments in its affidavit, asserting, “Our analysis of mark distribution nationally, statewide, and by city indicates normal distribution without external influences affecting marks distribution.”
