Recently, we learned that nubia’s sub-brand Red Magic would unveil a Bumblebee edition of its Red Magic 9 Pro+ smartphone today, and as expected, it has been launched.
The highlight of this edition is its yellow theme, inspired by Bumblebee from Transformers. The phone’s back, in particular, is adorned with this theme, showcasing a striking black and yellow paintjob. This limited edition release is sure to catch the eye with its distinctive color scheme.
In addition, the phone features a carbon fiber texture finish for added appeal, along with a Bumblebee logo alongside the Red Magic branding. The package comes with custom packaging that incorporates Bumblebee’s codenames. Furthermore, it includes a black and yellow magnetic cooler, a specialized 165W GaN charger, a themed SIM tray eject tool, as well as a black and yellow USB-C cable, a Bumblebee badge, and a unique magnetic case. As anticipated, the software is extensively themed around Bumblebee.
The exclusive edition is priced at
equivalent to approximately $900 or €833 at the current exchange rates. This variant offers identical specifications to the standard Red Magic 9 Pro+, including 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It’s improbable that this model will be officially available for purchase outside of China.
The Red Magic 9 Pro+ Bumblebee Transformers Edition features a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED BOE Q9+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1600nits. Internally, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, accompanied by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Its camera setup comprises a 50MP S5KGN5 OIS primary sensor, a 50MP S5KJN1 ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP GC02M1 macro camera, and a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies.
