Leeds United regained the second position in the standings after Willy Gnonto’s impressive goal paved the way for a confident and dominant win against Plymouth Argyle at a wet Home Park.
Gnonto’s skillful control and precise shot reflected Leeds’ early control of the game. Despite their dominance, Leeds missed a chance to extend their lead to 2-0 before halftime when Georginio Rutter’s shot deflected off the post.

Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier made a crucial save from a late Morgan Whittaker free-kick, while substitute Dan James nearly added a third goal for Leeds.
However, Leeds’ dominance ensured they didn’t need additional goals, sealing their third win in four matches against Plymouth this season. This victory also marked Plymouth’s first home league defeat since October.
