The prices of commercial LPG cylinders hike by Rupees 25, bringing the retail rates to a new high, effective from March 1.
State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) have implemented a ₹25 increase in the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders, effective today, March 1st (Friday). Following this recent adjustment, the retail price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder now stands at ₹1,795 in Delhi. Similarly, in Mumbai, customers will find the 19 kg cylinder priced at ₹1,749 as of today. Meanwhile, the cost of commercial LPG gas cylinders has risen to ₹1,960 in Chennai and ₹1,911 in Kolkata.
This marks the second consecutive occasion where state-run firms have opted to raise the prices of commercial gas cylinders. In comparison, during the previous adjustment on February 1st, rates for a 19-kg gas cylinder saw an uptick of ₹14. Throughout February, the pricing for a 19-kg gas cylinder stood at ₹1,769.50 in Delhi, ₹1,887 in Kolkata, ₹1,723 in Mumbai, and ₹1,937 in Chennai, respectively.
The rates for commercial LPG cylinders experienced an upward adjustment by ₹21 on December 1, 2023, across various locations nationwide. However, as the New Year of 2024 commenced, there was a significant reduction in prices, with the cost of 19-kg commercial cooking gas being cut by ₹39.50 per cylinder.

Meanwhile, the prices of domestic gas cylinders have remained steady. As of now, the price for a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder is ₹903 in Delhi, ₹929 in Kolkata, ₹902.50 in Mumbai, and ₹918.50 in Chennai.
State-owned companies such as Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) revise cooking gas prices on the 1st of each month, based on the average international price from the previous month.
