Steps in the Counseling Process
- Candidates must register on the official TNEA 2024 Counseling portal.
- They will input their details to receive a unique number essential for the counseling process.
- After the registration deadline, candidates will undergo document verification.
- Colleges and seats will be allocated based on the ranks achieved.
- If candidates are satisfied with their allocation, they can report to the college.

Steps in the Counseling Process
- Choosing Preferences: After paying the TNEA 2024 counseling fee, candidates must log in to the TNEA portal using their user ID and password (the same as during registration). They will then select their preferred institutes and courses.
- Finalizing Choices: Candidates need to lock their selected choices on the third day after the round begins. No modifications will be allowed after locking. A PDF of the locked choices will be sent to their registered email along with an integrity code to prevent further changes. If they fail to lock their choices in time, the system will automatically do it for them.
- Preliminary Allotment: The system will show tentative seat allocations based on the candidates’ choices. They can check their tentative TNEA seat allotment by logging into their accounts.
- Acceptance of Allotment Offer:
After the TNEA 2024 seat allotment, candidates can confirm, decline, or reject the offer.
- Accept the offer.
- Confirm the offer with upward mobility, indicating a desire to change the allotted seat and participate in further counseling rounds.
- Decline the offer while opting for upward mobility.
- Withdraw from TNEA Counseling.
