  • Entrance exam scores: Some programs might require qualifying scores in entrance exams like GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) or national-level exams like NEET (UG) or GATE (PG).
  • Domicile requirements: Certain programs might have specific domicile requirements for Gujarat state residents.
  • Age limit: Some programs might have minimum or maximum age limitations.
4.2. Selection Factors
  • Academic merit: Your Class 10th and 12th marks or graduation scores (for PG) play a significant role.
  • Entrance exam scores (if applicable): Your performance in relevant entrance exams will be weighed as per program weightage.
  • Reservations: Seats are reserved for candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and other categories as per government guidelines.
4.3. Allotment Rounds
  • GCAS conducts multiple allotment rounds to allocate seats to qualified candidates.
  • The system considers your application details, preferences, and merit rank to generate a list of potential program allotments.
  • You can review your allotted options, accept or reject them, and indicate your preferences for the next round if applicable.
  • If you don’t get your most preferred program initially, you can participate in subsequent rounds, hoping for a seat based on seat availability and changes in rank positions.
  • The exact number of allotment rounds may vary depending on the year and program.
4.4. Accepting and Locking Allotment
  • Once you’re happy with your allotted seat, you must accept and lock it within the stipulated timeframe on the GCAS portal.

  • Here’s what accepting and locking your allotment typically involves:
    • Paying the seat acceptance fee (if applicable) through the GCAS portal.
