During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 held in Barcelona, Tecno unveiled the Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G, the successor to the Tecno Camon 20 Premier. The company provided key details about the handset and announced its launch timeline. The smartphone is scheduled to be available in select markets in the second quarter of the year.

One of the notable features of the Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G is its new PolarAce Imaging System and Sony cameras, as confirmed by Tecno on its social media platforms. Additionally, the company showcased the phone at the MWC 2024 event. Although the handset has not yet been listed online, details about it were revealed as Gadgets 360 had firsthand information from the ground.

The Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G will be offered in two color options: black and white. Notably, it features a large, circular rear camera module, a departure from its predecessor and in line with the trend seen in many mid-range and flagship smartphones from competing brands over the past few months.

Tecno is introducing a new imaging system called “PolarAce” with the Camon 30 Premier 5G. This system combines Sony image sensors, a Sony ISP chip, and Tecno AI algorithms to enhance the phone’s photography capabilities.

The focus on photography and video is evident in the phone’s design, which draws inspiration from camera aesthetics. It features a metal frame that not only provides rigidity but also lends a premium feel to the device. Additionally, Tecno claims that the metal frame aids in cooling the phone during prolonged usage.

The back of the phone boasts a grippy faux leather texture and a distinctive “zoom ring” design surrounding the circular camera island. The camera island is positioned off-center, with a chamfered area adjacent to it. This design choice improves ergonomics by providing a comfortable placement for the finger, allowing for a stable grip on the phone without risking interference with the camera’s field of view.
